What is PRIDE?
The PRIDE program is a volunteer, grassroots effort to improve the quality of life in local communities. The Park City community is unique and shares a common bond; a rich heritage based on self-reliance and community pride. The goal of PRIDE is to help maximize community and economic development efforts by encouraging all groups to coordinate and work collaboratively for community betterment.
Over the past 10 years, the PRIDE program has grown and evolved , like our community, to help meet the public's ever changing needs. The constant challenge to remain viable and provide a high quality of life can be achieved through the comprehensive PRIDE approach. PRIDE projects cover a wide range of activities to meet commonly identified community needs. Through participation in the community development planning process, PRIDE has worked to involve youth in the community betterment projects, provide groceries for those in need, develop educational programs, promote recycling, initiate cultural activities, provide community celebrations, etc.
